In January 2018 Loepfe asked Pegus Digital to help define the MVP for their Q-master platform. After NDA’s were signed, we setup a 4 day Pressure Cooker at Loepfe Head Office in Switserland.
Since its establishment in 1955 by the brothers Helmut and Erich Loepfe, the company has been the pacesetter for innovation in textile quality control. Loepfe has established itself in the field of optical yarn clearers with pioneering achievements. Today, Loepfe is considered world-wide as the specialist for integral quality control systems. Fifty percent of the world-wide staple yarn production are monitored by Loepfe yarn clearers.
In order to make a workshop a real success, the involvement of key stakeholders is the most valuable. Pegus Digital had the opportunity to share the experience of the workshop with several involved employees during the planned Pressure Cooker. In the course of the first sessions, our Technical Project Manager was able to guide several product managers through event storming techniques, enabling us to map all events and involved stakeholders of a spinning mill production line.
The Design Sprint
After a deep dive in the production lines of a spinning mill, our UX/UI expert designed a few screens to set the right priorities on the required functionalities per user. Before the start of the final day the team was able to create the first flow in a wireframe.
Thanks to the input of the product development employees and the creation of some mock ups, we were able to start writing the final proposal for the development of the Q-master platform, including the visualisation of a complete clickable mock-up.
