Sarawak

Automating planning functionalities for the cosmetic & luxury sector

The Client

Sarawak Luxury is a sales-oriented company known for promotion and merchandising activities within the cosmetics and luxury sector. They send trained sales people out to luxury shops to promote their products.

The Sarawak Group is a merger between Think and Go, Promoplan and Sarawak France. The company is now able to serve their customers with even better knowledge and resources, bringing a dynamic flavour to the world of luxury merchandising.

02

The challenge

All the promotion activities of a sales representative for a specified product, including sales figures, expenses and even the mapping of their high-quality working space are registered in their existing app. What the app is lacking though, is a scheduling feature. That is where Pegus Digital comes into the picture.

Keeping in mind the company’s values, Pegus Digital will implement additional planning functionalities into the current registration app, automating the search for the best candidate for each job.

03

The solution

The planning feature includes a list of available jobs that each sales representative can express their interest in. Afterwards, Sarawak can decide who is most qualified for the task and the sales representative receives a notification about the job they were assigned to. In order to be able to offer ever more filtered job lists, the app also will inquire about the sales representative’s availabilities. This will, in turn, reduce the workload of Sarawak coordinating staff. What’s more, sales representatives will be able to chat with the Sarawak helpdesk, when having doubts or issues.

Currently embedded in external software packages, these functionalities are used and paid for by all Sarawak Group partners. Pegus Digital will internalise the planning features into the company’s own registration app, eliminating the yearly external cost of the functionality altogether.

Cross-platform app

This application, a cross-platform app for native iOS, Android, is written in Ionic and communicates with a REST-API.

REST-API

The REST-API is offered by Sarawak. This API is built with C# on .NET-core and Nancy FX.

Offline first

As good network connection is not always available on-site, the application was built with an ‘offline first’ approach in mind.
